Glasgow Apollo - Gary Numan 1979
The Apollo was a music venue at 126 Renfield Street in Glasgow city centre, Scotland. It operated from 5 September 1973 until closure on 16 June 1985 and was Glasgow's leading music venue during this period. The Apollo was a re-brand of the previous Green's Playhouse in the same building. Gary Numan brought The Touring Principle to the Apollo on Thursday 20th September 1979 for the first gig of the tour and his first ever gig there. He was promoting his first solo album, The Pleasure Principle , tickets were £3 and the support band was OMD . That's a lot of firsts!
