The Teenbeats were a Mod Revival band from Hastings, England. Formed in 1979 their line up was - Huggy Leaver (vocals), Ken Copsey (lead guitar), Paul Thomas (rhythm guitar), Eddie Mays (bass) and Dave Blackman (drums). They were signed to Safari Records and only released two singles on that label - The Troggs cover 'I Can't Control Myself' and an original song 'Strength Of The Nation'. Neither of the singles made the UK charts but 'I Can't Control Myself' was a hit in Canada. A third and final single 'Teenage Beat' on Gamma records followed in 1980.
